Dr. Laura Kompkoff is a board-certified optometrist with an eye for beauty. After practicing for more than a decade in Seattle, she relocated to Alaska with her family. Dr. Kompkoff received a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington and her doctor of optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry, graduating with honors in 2000. She then received a fellowship from the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

I’m really glad I found Katmai, Dr Kompkoff is addressing my dry eyes. As a new patient we are starting with basic changes I can make but there are several other options I can move to if needed. She has a genuine caring and friendly energy. The staff is attentive and the facility is beautiful! The only con is they accept no insurance so they are not in-network and you have to submit claims yourself. But I feel I finally found an eye doc for my needs.
Very accommodating with my appt time. Had another appt and it was after eye exam. Would have been difficult to make that appt but they were able to see we earlier than scheduled. Liked Dr.kompkoff great rapport and thorough.
