"I have only been going to Katmai Eye And Vision Center for the last couple years. Despite them not offering the convenience of billing your insurance I will continue going there. EVERYONE there is kind, professional, and helpful. You are treated as an individual and not a number. Oh and they are patient too ( I tend to ask too many questions ). "Dr. Krompkoff is treating me for rosacea and dry eyes. So far we have done the lipiflow and two IPL treatments with one more IPL to go. The struggle is real when it comes to dry eyes, but after my second IPL treatment I was able to wear my contact lenses again with little to no discomfort ~ happy dance!! My primary eye doctor is in Wasilla and referred me to Katmai specifically for lipiflow/IPL therapy and I can't thank Dr. Krompkoff enough for the excellent care, you're the best!"

"Went for the first time 3 days ago, after not going to an eye doc for a decade. Katmai and the staff are absolutely first class. The facility is amazing, the choices for glasses is mind blowing, and the quality of care is the very best I’ve ever received from an eye doctor. They didn’t rush to get me out of there, explained everything they were doing, and had the latest technology in machines. "I have strabismus and amblyopia. I had thought that it was impossible to see better out of that eye. They have given me hope and I am going through therapy for it. It's not only been good for my sight, but my self esteem. She put very careful attention into my prescription and I really need that from a prescriber. While they do not take insurance, they give you the bill you need to get reimbursed."

"I’m really glad I found Katmai, Dr Kompkoff is addressing my dry eyes. As a new patient we are starting with basic changes I can make but there are several other options I can move to if needed. She has a genuine caring and friendly energy. The staff is attentive and the facility is beautiful! The only con is they accept no insurance so they are not in-network and you have to submit claims yourself. But I feel I finally found an eye doc for my needs."

"I had such a great experience throughout the whole process of having my eyes evaluated. I developed double vision after a traumatic head injury and was told by another ophthalmologist to just wait for swelling to reduce. I knew there was more I could do so I scheduled with Dr. Kompkoff and they were able to get me in right away. They thoroughly examined my eyes and gave me exercises specifically to improve my eye coordination. I have noticed improvements in just a weeks time. "Dr Laura and the entire staff are simply amazing and extremely professional. In June, Dr Laura recommended vision therapy which I decided to start immediately. She worked with Liz to develop a plan for my therapy sessions. After 9 weeks I have seen such a difference. Liz is fantastic and creates a plan for sessions as well as homework to work on between the sessions. Dr. Laura then reexamined me to check progress. Katmai is extremely thorough with all that they do. I highly recommend Katmai Eye Vision Center for all your vision care!"
